(3 photos) Gatineau park was bustling with skiers today and will be bustling until the week hours as the new year is celebrated. The skiing was very good despite a complete lack of grooming.  There is now excellent coverage in most places, and we have received quite a few cm over the last few days so this lack of attention to the  trails on this popular weekend was difficult to understand.   Around 4:00 (only) the Fortune Parkway and the 2.5 k stretch to the lookout was groomed and trackset. Presumably the Doldrums were groomed as well.

I’m with Paul, grooming is not up to my expectation.

Had a great ski yesterday from mackenzie king but nothing was groomed and have just done the doldrums and they are not groomed yet. I asked the NCC rep about the conditions yesterday apparently “there were too many people enjoying the trails to get out the groomers”. More snow falling now – should be great tomorrow.

I was surprised there was no suggested wax posted on the board at the Visitor’s Centre yesterday.

Contract vs reality, it’s different. They don’t have the same perception. I’ve given up on the NCC and Demsis.

Yeah, they raise the price then don’t have to work for a month but when the snow arrives they still don’t work. Unbelievable. Glad I didn’t buy a pass this year, I’d be asking for a refund.
