(A photo from late December.)  Environment Canada has a “weather warning” for Chelsea today.  What on earth is that about?   That covers any eventuality, doesn’t it?!   They have become so paranoid.   I’m off to a yurt  – have fun skiing!

With all due respect a weather warning is exactly what the words say. I was travelling back from out west and got delayed due to weather. Many delays, but I am home. Approach to Ottawa was bizarre. Windows iced up so much on apporach couldn’t see out. Ceiling was very low, popped out of the clouds close to the ground. Airport was very snowy and slick. Thank you Environment Canada for a bang on forecast. As a skier I wish it was pure snow but for real life the warning helped out.
