A depressing day – It’s raining and 8 degrees in the park, even warmer in Ottawa.  In Chelsea a lot of  snow has melted and ice is underfoot.  There’s also an extra photo, from yesterday’s warm-weather ski at Mer Bleu.

Depressing? This is absolutely beautiful! I’d just love to go ice-canoeing there!

We took a cousin from Africa ice-canoeing on the Barron River late one fall. She assumed it was a “normal” activity for Canadians.

I wouldn’t say normal, but it sure is unique!
