Icy branches during the freezing rain storm yesterday. According to XC Ottawa, some of the parkways have been groomed and are good for skating.

The Fortune Parkway from P10 to Champlain and then to Huron has been groomed and classic tracks put in but they are grassy in places. Skating is fast and icy. Not sure why more of the parkways aren’t being done. Conditions aren’t ideal but not bad for us desperadoes dying to ski!
Thanks for the report, Peter. It saved me from a desperate ski.
