The skiing was AGAIN fantastic, but it was such a late and snowy ski that my little point and shoot did not produce anything I would want to share. This photo was taken on Dec. 23, under bright moonlight, with a tripod. Our friend had booked the “4 season tent” for the night. After we arrived at the site we discovered that the reservation had been cancelled by Demsis because of “dangerous conditions”. We at least managed to see this alleged tent before heading home. It was a beautiful night ski back to the parking lot.

Lovely, cozy photo. I am sorry that it didn’t work out. However, I can see their point. We skied from the Pine Rd. to the end of Lac Philippe on #50 Saturday afternoon. The trail was clear on the way in but on our return two large trees had fallen across the trail in different places. So even in the Lac Philippe area which doesn’t seem as hard hit as was other parts of the Park, the trees are still falling.
And there are a couple of towering and leaning Pines, Ruth -just behind the photographer. It may not be the choicest spot for this little cabin in any conditions.
Glad you weren’t directly in the path of the falling trees!
