Exciting even if it’s a bit fuzzy! This is the first time (in 48 years of coming to this lake) that we’ve spotted an American Bittern. The herons seem to be missing at the moment, though. I hope they aren’t mutually exclusive. This bird did his reed imitation when the kayak went by.
