(I just love the window feeder!) We seem to be cursed this year as far as snow goes. Did you watch the radar – the snow again deftly and consistently skirted us for hours and hours!? Perhaps it’s a test to see if we have other interests? I certainly have no desire to ski on thin, marginal, ice. It’s time to get creative. Perhaps it’s time to dig out some old piano music. Get out those ice spikes and go for a rattly run. Take a camera and sit with the birds. Finish the book I started! Watch the house plants grow.

Hi Joanne. I hear you…we had our last xc ski on Dec 29th…I love your bird feeder. Where did you get it?
We ordered the feeder from Amazon, something we never did before Covid started. Apparently you can get them, sometimes, in dollar stores. It was a little tricky finding a spot for it. I have to be able to reach it to fill it, but it has to be high enough to keep the squirrels from jumping onto it. Turned out the permanently closed door was the only option as our windows are either too high or have sills perfect for squirrel staging.
I tried skiing on Sunday. It was hard, icy, and unappealing.
