Jo-Ann: Hope all is well with you and Garry. I would like to think this photo is taken for MY benefit!!. Truly a beautiful and peaceful view of the night sky. Are you prepared to continue to photograph the stars throughout the year? I can visualize you standing on the shore of Lac Champagneur in mid-December.
Take care, and thank you for sharing your view of the night sky with all of us.
Jean
Hi Jean! Yes, actually I did take star photos there in February when my brother and I had our yearly trip there. http://musicianonskis.ca/blog/2012/02/february-27-2012/
It’s a rare gift to have open sky without city lights. A warm building nearby is a plus. It’s especially nice when the mosquitoes are absent. August and mid-winter are both wonderful but in the winter you don’t have to stay awake so long waiting for things to get dark and you can walk out ON the lake!
