Chilly skiing  – a photo from yesterday.  Today was pretty much the same in the this area-  concrete covered with a thin layer of  dry, abrasive powder (slow, slow tracks!)  but I didn’t take any photos.

Saw your post on xcottawa today. NCCs rating system is messed up. Newly groomed trails get thumbs down sometimes because of debris. Trails, such as the parkway get thumbs up because there is no debris even though they are in bad need of grooming. The website today gave much of the Champlain a thumbs up even though they also showed no grooming for a few days. I have (like lots of others) asked NCC to please provide some commentary on trail conditions as well giving a heads up as to what grooming is planned since grooming seems to be occurring… Read more »

I agree that the thumbs up or thumbs down system is really lacking detail. And it’s so arbitrary. I’m glad you found some good skiing.
