Watch out if you are descending the classic tracks of the Black Lake Hill.  There is a large branch smack in the middle of the tracks.  It is firmly frozen in place.

Thanks for posting a trail report! I skied down Black Lake Hill in the dark on Friday night, remembered your picture, and switched tracks about 20 seconds before my ski season could have been ended. I would hope that the track was not set when the branch was in this position, but sadly I have my doubts.

The track went right up to the branch, which was a mystery to me. Glad you missed it!
