My mom and I both think this is stunning. I’m jealous. We don’t get many pretty birds here. Mostly chickadees, sparrows, crows, and robins.
The interesting thing about these Redpolls, is that they come every other year (perhaps a good thing as they cost us a great deal of money in niger seed). Their summer home is the high north, but every two years, apparently, the conifers produce too few cones, and the birds come south to see us.
