These guys look really happy – we have a ton of birds all trying to get their fill. What a great day !!

I emailed the NCC last week to ask them to restore snowfall accumulation info to their cross country ski conditions website. They replied that after numerous consultations with the public (I was never consulted and use their website all the time), they were told skiers didn’t need that information! Right…we need to know instead the snow depth is 11cm at P8…that is soooo much more helpful.
I agree! And base and snowfall are two completely different things. I was never consulted either and I ski in the park now and then. If you know X cm of snow has fallen and there is (or is not) fresh grooming, it certainly helps to plan your ski day!

It also bugs me that some of Demsis/NCC parking police stand around their cabins smoking. Can’t they find young skiers to do those jobs part-time?

Where do you think young skiers are when they are not at school? On the trails! So, sorry, but I guess you are stuck with non-skiers as parking/ticket attendants… 😉
